Race Tech Suspension Components

Since 1984 Race Tech continues to set the standards of excellence in motorcycle suspension. They produce a line of products that break through the limitations of the stock components. Most of the Race Tech products come in kit form so a dealer or individual can become a competent suspension tuner.

Racetech's website is the ideal place to search for the products available specifically for your bike (see www.racetech.com ) Here they provide a 'Product Search' based on the make, model and year of machine. You can also establish the most suitable weight of fork and shock springs for your machine based on your weight.

The Racetech website also features a 'Valving Search' facility which can only be accessed using the unique code that comes printed inside the Gold Valve Kit, this provides your own personal custom suspension settings (based on weight, riding style, skill level and personal set up preferences), including spring rates and adjustments.

Race Tech GOLD VALVE KITS (background info)
There are two types of fork…Cartridge forks and damping rod forks. Cartridge forks are used predominantly on modern sports bikes and road racers. This style of fork offers more precise damping control than the older style damping rod forks. Race Tech produce GOLD VALVE kits to improve the characteristics of cartridge style forks. GOLD VALVE CARTRIDGE EMULATORS were invented to give older style damping rod forks the same advantage as well tuned cartridge forks with Gold Valves.

What does the ultimate front end feel like? It's controlled, doesn't dive excessively, it's firm, yet plush at the same time. Stock cartridge forks at best are a compromise and some are downright poor. The fact that you have a cartridge system doesn't necessarily mean that it works well. The stock valving systems can be modified - but they all have major limitations. The solution is GOLD VALVES. Race Tech's valves will give you outstanding performance and tune ability.
